For example, for a simple REVO Stage 1 tune, we first carry out a thorough inspection of the vehicle, a fault code scan, and actually go out for a road test and log the car prior to tuning the vehicle. We check the air-fuel ratio, if the car is pulling timing, if the turbo is spooling properly, if the engine is misfiring, and more. Most performance car workshops will simply just check fault codes prior to tuning, and if there are any issues, they will simply provide a repair estimate after you’ve already paid for the tuning.
